Description

Excursion to the  canal of Corinth, the excavation of Loutraki and Elefsina.

  • On the directly way, we go to the Isthmus – the imposing Canal of Corinth – the connection between the Saronic and the Corinthian gulf. This make the Peloponnes to an island.

We continue to the archeological site of Loutraki. The temple of the goodness Hera.

After that we will go to the small, but not less insignificant town “Elefsina”. Elefsina is often translated as “Eleusis”.

Elefsina is one of the three European capitals of culture of 2021.

Here you find a large area of an excavation site of the time of the Mycenaean and Middle Helladic period.

After the visit you can enjoy a lunch/dinner with typical traditional Greek kitchen – there where the locals go to eat.
